I’m Sarah, founder of The August People. I’m a mom of three who, in the year of COVID (and while turning 40), decided it was a good idea *because I needed to* to start a children’s brand in my spare bedroom.
The August People at its core is retro modern. Clothes that are familiar in colors, classic in design, and best of all, feature hand-drawn graphics.
I source brands + design pieces that are familiar and easy-to-love.
The brand is named for childhood Augusts, the peak of summer. It’s an ode to days spent climbing trees, begging to stay up past dark to catch fireflies, knees covered in bandaids, and when new shoes that made us faster than everyone else.
